TICKIN — branded into charred oak
A Friend in the Market.
Markets ·

The knowledgeable Friend who already read the filing.

TICKIN is like having a Friend who follows every news source, keeps up with market trends, understands the ins and outs of trading, and tracks what every business is reporting. The Friend you wish you knew when you have questions about what a company is doing, or why a stock is seeing a sudden spike. Expertly trained on course materials and publicly available data, then simplified so getting started feels less intimidating.

No credit card. No brokerage connection. TICKIN is US-only at launch.

Trained on the market, not on everything.

Most LLMs are trained on everything, which opens room for leakage and hallucinations. TICKIN is different. It is not 'AI-powered' — it is its own small language model, trained from the ground up on the stock market. It learns the way the best traders do: starts from a base of several proven trading techniques, then continues to self-learn and debate which method is working in the current regime. It improves itself over time, and tells you what it sees plainly.

TICKIN's brain also speaks MCP. Plug it into Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or any LLM that supports the protocol and ask: 'Check TICKIN's picks on NVDA.' 'What does TICKIN's value specialist say about JPM right now?' The answer comes from TICKIN's trained model — not the LLM guessing about markets. The MCP is open, so developers can wire the same connector into their own apps and workflows.

Thirteen Specialists, One Friend.

Thirteen specialists, one generalist voice. Each persona is a separately trained head with its own domain. The six philosophy specialists debate every ticker from their own lens. The seven functional specialists handle the parts of the job a philosophy alone does not own: deep research, sizing, behavior, dissent, memory, tax, regime overlay. The generalist sits on top as the Friend you actually talk to — they read every contribution, settle the debate, and tell you the result in plain English.

[G]

The Friend

The voice you actually talk to.

Trained for friendly clarity. Reads every contribution from the thirteen specialists, settles the debate, and tells you the consensus and the dissents in plain English. Honest-not-nice register: if your thesis breaks, they say so. If you are about to make a behavior mistake, they ask the question that stops it. They never invent numbers — every figure ties back to a specialist's source.

Six philosophy specialists

[V]

Value

Margin of safety. Horizon: months to years.

Intrinsic value, margin of safety, owner-earnings discipline. Looks for businesses worth more than the price.

[M]

Macro

Rates, regime, flows. Horizon: weeks to months.

Rates, regime, global flows. Asks what monetary policy and currency moves mean for every position.

[A]

Activist

13Ds, board changes, catalysts. Horizon: weeks to quarters.

13D filings, board changes, catalyst events. Tracks the money that is already moving things.

[T]

Technical

Stage, base, breakout. Horizon: days to weeks.

Chart structure, base patterns, price-action over moving averages. Reads the tape.

[Q]

Quant

Factors and mean reversion. Horizon: days to months.

Factor exposures, statistical arbitrage, mean-reversion vs trend signals. Cold math, no narrative.

[D]

Day-trade

Tape, gaps, opening range. Horizon: intraday.

Intraday OHLCV patterns, gap behavior, opening-range dynamics. Short horizon, tight risk.

Seven functional specialists

[CIO]

Chief Investment Officer

Regime overlay and specialist weighting.

Classifies the current market regime (bull, bear, chop, risk-off) and decides which philosophy specialists to weight more heavily right now. The specialists debate; the CIO referees.

[RA]

Research Analyst

Single-company deep-dive.

Reads 10-Ks footnote by footnote, builds DCF models, grades management quality. Goes deep on one name when the specialists agree it is worth a real look.

[RM]

Risk Manager

Position sizing, correlation, drawdown.

Tells you how big the position should be and where the stop sits, not which way the stock goes. Caps concentration before conviction can hurt you.

[BC]

Behavioral Coach

Anti-panic, anti-FOMO, anti-revenge.

Watches for the behavioral patterns that lose retail traders 4 to 6 points of return a year. Asks the question that breaks the spiral before you click.

[DA]

Devil's Advocate

Auto-critic on every pick.

Takes the bull case and constructs the strongest bear; takes the sell and constructs the strongest hold. Never strawmans. Surfaces the disconfirming evidence.

[MK]

Memory Keeper

Two memories: TICKIN's analysis history, and your private chat.

Pulls from TICKIN's own decision graph (what the specialists said per ticker, when, with what conviction, how it resolved) AND from your private conversation history with the Friend (what you asked about last week, what you said you'd do). Your conversation stays yours — never used for training, never shared across users. 'TICKIN's value specialist called NVDA undervalued at $120 in March, target near $200 — it's at $195 now. You also told me on Tuesday you wanted to revisit if it crossed $190. Does the thesis still hold?'

[TA]

Tax Advisor

US wash-sale, lot selection, account rules.

Knows the wash-sale window, FIFO vs spec-ID, Roth vs Brokerage tax treatment. Always hedges to 'consult your CPA' for your specific situation.

Clear, accessible, honest.

So many stock apps promise gains, bury the work in field-specific jargon, and price themselves out of reach. Unless you have a degree in Finance — or you know someone who does — it is easy to feel locked out of the market. We do none of that. TICKIN is information and knowledge: clear, accessible, easy to understand. TICKIN makes its own calls and can make mistakes, but it is an open portfolio. You can see the ups and the downs, the misses and the wins, and decide what to do with them.

What a pick looks like.

Every pick carries the ticker, the specialist that opened it, the TICKIN Score, the move since open, and how long it has been on the board. Closed picks stay visible with the exit reason — wins and misses both.
