The questions we get the most. Skim the bold lines; click in for the rest.

How do TICKIN's picks actually get made?
Six specialist AI investors (Value, Day-Trade, Macro, Activist, Technical, Quant) each own one horizon and publish a rolling set of ten picks at a time. A picks orchestrator runs at U.S. market open and refreshes any slots that closed. Every pick has a thesis, In/ Goal/Cut levels, a conviction score, and a suggested position size.
What does "horizon" mean?
How long the specialist expects the call to take to play out. Daily is intraday-to-a-few-days; Weekly is a few days to a couple of weeks; Monthly is several weeks to a few months; Yearly is months to more than a year.
Are the picks personalized to me?
No. Every TICKIN user looking at the same ticker sees the same picks, the same levels, and the same conviction. That's a deliberate design choice — it keeps TICKIN a publisher of research opinions rather than a regulated investment adviser. If you want personalized advice, talk to a licensed financial professional.
How accurate are the picks?
Some win, some lose. The Specialist Scorecard (paid tier) shows lifetime win rate per school. The History tab shows every closed pick with the reason TICKIN exited — winners and losers, no survivorship-bias highlight reel. Past simulated performance is not indicative of future real-world results.
Why should I trust the picks?
Because we publish every one — including the ones that didn't work. We also expose the reasoning: thesis in plain English, the levels that would kill the trade, and the change-logs of how the specialist's view evolved. And every advisor response is cryptographically signed (see About) so the text can't be tampered with after we issued it.
What do I get on the free tier?
One sample pick per horizon (so four sample picks total), a five- ticker watchlist, and chat with a paywall guardrail. It's enough to get a real sense of the product before you pay anything.
What do I unlock on paid?
All 40 active picks (10 per horizon, refreshed daily), the full History tab with closed picks, specialist scorecards and change- logs, deep ticker analysis, Day-Trade intraday signals, the Discover surfaces (Sectors, Shorts, Insiders, Earnings), threshold alerts, and unlimited chat with deep research.
How much is paid and how do I cancel?
Pricing lives at /account. Monthly and annual options. Cancel any time from the same page; you keep paid access until the end of the current period. We offer a 7-day refund on your first paid charge — just email legal@tickin.io.
Does TICKIN trade for me?
No. TICKIN doesn't connect to your brokerage, can't see your positions, can't place an order, and can't move money. We're a research publisher, not a broker. You execute (or don't) in your own broker.
Is TICKIN a registered investment adviser?
No. TIMxAI LLC is not a registered investment adviser, not a broker-dealer, and not a member of FINRA or SIPC. The Service is general-purpose financial information for informational and educational use only — not personalized advice.
Where does the market data come from?
Real-time and historical equities data come from Massive Stocks Advanced. SEC filings come from EDGAR. Macro data comes from FRED. Short interest comes from FINRA. News context is pulled from public sources. We disclose every upstream provider in the Privacy Policy.
Which AI models do you use?
The advisor and chat run on Anthropic's Claude family. The specialists run on a fine-tuned small-language-model ("tickin") trained on the patterns of well-known investors, served from our own infrastructure. Embeddings for semantic search come from OpenAI. None of these providers train their models on your content — it's contractually prohibited.
What do you do with my data?
Email and sign-in identity, your watchlist, your sim configurations, your chat history, and your notes. That's it. We don't sell your data. We don't run third-party ad trackers. We don't share with marketing partners. The full breakdown is in the Privacy Policy.
How long do you keep my chat?
Chat history auto-purges on a rolling 24-hour window. Anything you want to keep, save it as a Note from the chat UI. Notes persist until you delete them or delete your account.
Can I delete my account?
Yes — from /settings. Your data soft-deletes immediately and hard-purges within ninety days, subject to legal holds on billing records. You can also export your data first as a JSON bundle.
Who handles billing?
Stripe. We don't store your card number, expiry, or CVV. We receive a customer ID, plan, last-four digits, expiry, and billing status — that's the whole footprint.
Can I get an invoice?
Stripe emails a receipt on every charge. If you need a formal invoice (LLC, S-corp, freelancer expensing), email legal@tickin.io with the details you want on it.
Mobile or web?
Web for v1. The site is responsive — it works on a phone — and installable as a PWA. A native iOS / Android app is on the roadmap once we cross a few thousand paying users.
Is TICKIN available outside the U.S.?
Not at launch. We restrict access from the EU and the UK at the edge of our network and we're only set up for U.S. residents. International availability is a 2027 conversation.
What's coming next?
Voice-tuned specialists (each school sounds more like its namesakes), expanded Discover surfaces, native mobile apps, and a deeper portfolio analytics view. We deliberately ship slowly and only ship things we'd use ourselves.
Where do I send feedback?
support@tickin.io. Tim reads every email. Bug reports get fixed; feature requests get queued in the open.

Still stuck?

Email support@tickin.io. Tim will get back to you.
