Getting started
How do I sign up?
Head to tickin.io/login and either use a magic link (we email you a one-click sign-in) or sign in with Google or Apple. No password to forget. No credit card to start.
Where do I see my first pick?
After sign-in you land on the Dashboard. Click TICKIN's Picks in the top nav to see the specialists' current calls. On a free account you'll see one sample pick per horizon (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly) — four picks total. Paid accounts see all 40.
Free vs paid — what changes?
- Free: 1 sample pick per horizon (4 total), a 5-ticker watchlist, chat with a paywall guardrail (paid-only topics return an upsell), no History, no specialist scorecards.
- Paid: all 40 active picks with full thesis and levels, the full History tab (every closed pick and the reason we exited), specialist scorecards (lifetime win rate per school), specialist change-logs (raised target, lowered stop, modified thesis, closed), deep ticker analysis, Day-Trade intraday signals, Discover (Sectors, Shorts, Insiders, Earnings), threshold alerts, and unlimited chat.
Upgrade or cancel any time at /account. We honour a 7-day refund window on your first paid charge.
Using the Dashboard
The Dashboard is the whole U.S. equities universe in one virtualized table — about 12,500 tickers. Search by symbol or name in the top bar. Filter by sector. Sort by market cap, day change, or symbol. Drag the price-range slider to narrow further. Click any row to open a deep-dive popout.
The little star adds a ticker to your watchlist. The little plus opens the Sim modal pre-filled with that ticker. Rows in TICKIN's current picks show a small badge so you spot them mid-scroll.
Using TICKIN's Picks
The Picks page is the heart of the product. Four horizon sections (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly) each show ten active calls. Every card has the symbol, the school badge (which specialist made the call), a two-line thesis, In/Goal/Cut levels, a five-segment conviction bar, and a suggested position size.
Click any card to open the deep popout: full thesis, the plan grid (entry, target, stop, current price, size, hold horizon, conviction, opened-on date), and — for paid users — the change-log timeline of every modification the specialist has made to that pick.
How to read a specialist's thesis
Every TICKIN thesis is built the same way:
- The setup. What the specialist is looking at and why it matters now.
- The levels. "Get in around" (entry), "Goal" (target), "Cut losses at" (stop). These are generic price levels — the same for every user looking at the ticker — not personalized to your account.
- Conviction. A five-segment bar showing how strong the call is. Three of five is a normal call; five of five is uncommon and worth a second look.
- Position size. A suggested percentage of a hypothetical portfolio. Tickin doesn't know your portfolio; this is a guideline, not an instruction.
- Hold horizon. How long the specialist expects the thesis to take to play out.
What "TICKIN exited" means
When a specialist closes a pick, the row moves out of the active ten and into the History tab with a closing reason:
- Closed target. Price hit (or surpassed) the goal.
- Closed stop. Price hit (or dropped below) the stop. The trade was wrong; we owned it and we're out.
- Closed thesis. The original reason for the call no longer holds (an earnings print, a guidance cut, a regime shift). The specialist exits even if the price didn't move against the stop.
- Closed better opp. The specialist found something better to put in this slot of the rolling ten.
- Expired. The horizon window passed.
History keeps every closed pick alongside the original thesis and the reason for exit. We don't delete losers. Accountability is the whole point.
Using the Portfolio + Simulator
The Portfolio page is a paper-trading sandbox. Create one or more sims, each with a starting cash, and add positions from the watchlist or directly from a TICKIN pick. Nothing here connects to a real brokerage — Tickin never sees or moves real money.
From any pick popout you can click Create sim from this pick to land on the Portfolio page with the Sim modal already pre-filled with the symbol, thesis, and levels. Tweak anything, then save.
Setting alerts + notifications
Paid users can set threshold alerts on score, price, 8-K filings, and insider clusters. Configure delivery (email, in-app) at /settings/notifications and the alert rules themselves at /settings/alerts.
Chat memory
The chat remembers a small set of preferences across sessions (your default horizon, sectors you watch, voice tone) so you don't have to repeat yourself. Review and delete any item at /settings/memory. Chat history itself is cleared on a rolling 24-hour window; anything you want to keep, save as a Note from the chat UI.
Troubleshooting
No picks are showing.
Picks refresh at U.S. market open. If the page is empty after 8:30 ET on a trading day, hard-refresh (Cmd-Shift-R). If it's still empty, email support — we'll look at the orchestrator logs.
The ticker logo is missing or wrong.
Logos are filled in by a background job that runs every six hours. New listings can take a day to enrich. Nothing about the pick is wrong — only the icon is.
Chat says I've hit a limit.
Free accounts have a daily chat limit and a paywall guardrail on paid-only topics (specialist commentary, deep ticker analysis, Day-Trade intraday). Upgrade at /account or come back tomorrow.
Tickin showed me a number that looks wrong.
AI is wrong sometimes. Cross-check on your broker's screen or another data source before acting. If you find a systemic bug (not a one-off), email support with a screenshot — we fix.
I want to delete my account.
Go to /settings and use the "Delete account" button. Your data soft-deletes immediately and hard-purges within ninety days, subject to legal holds on billing records. You can also email privacy@tickin.io.
I want to export my data first.
/settings also has an export button (it hits /api/account/export and returns a JSON bundle of your account, watchlist, sims, and notes).
